Meet Nicky Adams

I founded Diversity Business Services so families wouldn't need three different people for three of life's biggest decisions. I've been in real estate since 2000, in insurance for a decade, and I hold two master's degrees and an accounting background.

Most of my clients are over 50 and facing a move, a Medicare decision, or both. My job is to explain your options clearly, answer the question you actually asked, and leave the decision where it belongs: with you.

Common questions, plain answers

Short answers to what people ask most before their first visit.

Do I have to use all three services?

No. Most people start with one. If something else comes up later, like a move after retirement, you already have someone who knows your situation.

What does the first consultation cost?

Nothing. The first conversation is no-cost for real estate, insurance and tax. Tax preparation fees are quoted up front before any work begins.

Are you tied to one insurance company?

No. DBS Insures is an independent agency that works with several carriers, including Humana, UnitedHealthcare®, Aetna and Blue Cross NC.

Where do you work?

The office is at 412 Bryan St in Fayetteville, by appointment. Real estate covers Raleigh, Durham, Knightdale, Garner, Clayton, Fayetteville, Hope Mills and Ft. Bragg. Insurance clients are in six states.

Frequently asked questions

Still wondering? Call the line for your question or book a time.

When can I change my Medicare plan?
The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7. Changes you make then take effect January 1. If you're turning 65 or just lost other coverage, you may have a separate enrollment window. Ask Nicky which applies to you.
How do real estate services work with Vylla Home?
Nicky is a real estate broker with Vylla Home, which handles the brokerage side of every transaction. You work directly with Nicky from the first conversation to closing.
Can you keep the books for my small business?
Yes. Monthly, quarterly or annual bookkeeping, payroll processing, financial statements and corporate tax returns are all available. See Business Tax Solutions.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
For Medicare: your red, white and blue Medicare card, current plan card and a list of medications and doctors. For taxes: last year's return and this year's documents. For real estate: just your goals and timeline.
